Privacy notice

This site collects as little as technically possible. No analytics, no tracking, no consent banner.

Controller

The controller within the meaning of Article 4 (7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

AUSSTEHEND

For data protection matters write to AUSSTEHEND or call AUSSTEHEND.

What this site does not do

This website runs no visitor analytics. No Google Analytics, no Matomo, no tracking pixels, no ad networks, no profile of your visit. We do not know how many people read this page — that is a decision, not an omission.

The site neither stores nor reads any information on your device beyond what is strictly necessary to display it. It sets no cookies for analytics or advertising. Consent under § 25 (1) TDDDG (the German act on data protection in telecommunications and digital services) is therefore not required, which is why you see no consent banner here.

Fonts, images and videos are served from our own server. Nothing is loaded from Google Fonts, from a content delivery network or from a video service. Your IP address therefore reaches no third party merely because you view this page.

Server access logs

For each request the web server records: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, the status code, the referring page and the browser identification.

The purpose is operational: troubleshooting and defence against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and uninterrupted operation of this website.

Logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest. They are not combined with other data sources and are not evaluated to identify visitors.

Hosting

This website and the customer portal run on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Deutschland, in a data centre in Germany. Hetzner Online GmbH processes the data solely on our instructions under a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. No transfer to a country outside the European Union takes place.

Enquiry form

When you submit the enquiry form we process what you enter: name, company, email address, phone number, number of screens and your message.

Purpose: to answer your enquiry and assess whether and how we can implement your project. We do not use the data for advertising and we do not pass it on to third parties.

Legal basis: Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR — the processing serves the steps preceding a contract that you initiate with your enquiry. For the optional fields Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR applies in addition; our legitimate interest is an answer that fits your project.

Recipients: the data is transmitted encrypted (TLS) to our customer portal portal.blackboxsignage.com, where it is held as an enquiry in the review queue until a person looks at it. The recipient is therefore not a third party but the same company on the same server in Germany. The system also notifies us by email that an enquiry has arrived.

Retention: if your enquiry does not lead to a contract we delete it 6 months after the last correspondence. If it does lead to a contract, the commercial and tax retention periods of six and ten years apply (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO); the data is then blocked for any other purpose.

Required and optional: we need your name, email address and message in order to reply. Company, phone number and number of screens are optional; without them our answer will be more general. There is no legal obligation to provide any of this — you are welcome to simply write or call instead.

No automated decision-making in individual cases, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place. Every enquiry is decided by a person.

The customer portal

Customers work with the portal at portal.blackboxsignage.com. Separate processing information applies there, because that system handles user accounts, screens and billing data. This notice describes this website only.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), to rectification (Article 16), to erasure (Article 17), to restriction of processing (Article 18), to data portability (Article 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21).

Write to AUSSTEHEND. We answer within one month.

Independently of this you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: AUSSTEHEND, AUSSTEHEND.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when the processing changes — for instance when a new form field is added. The date is shown below. Earlier versions can be traced through the version history of the source code.
